There are a variety of ways that your normal, everyday purchases can support Salem Academy. Many businesses or organizations have provided opportunities for a % of your purchase to be donated to the non-profit of your choice. Here are just a few examples: Fred Meyer, Red Robin, and more! Learn how you can support SA while dining out or shopping.
- SCRIP - HOW TO ORDER
Need to place an order for SCRIP?
- Download the order form.
- Bring form and check (made payable to Salem Academy) to the Administration Office.
- Give gift cards through your business? Need large quantities? Call 503.378.1219 to make arrangements.
Here are thousands of vendor options that can be ordered, but for your convenience a selection of our most popular SCRIP cards are kept on hand for easy pick-up from the Administrative Office. An order form will need to be filled out for all SCRIP purchases (whether ordered or on-hand). View list of typically “on hand” cards.
- SCRIP - SPECIAL ORDERS
Orders are placed the first and third Tuesdays of each month. At that time we will replenish our “on-hand” SCRIP as well as process special orders. To special order, just fill out an order form and attach a check for your pre-paid order by 9:30 a.m. of that order day. You will then receive your non-refundable SCRIP by Friday of that same week. You can choose whether to have it sent home with your child or pick-up in the office yourself.
- SCRIP - HOW MUCH CAN I EARN?
It depends on how much you buy. The percentage varies from store to store, but you will always receive 50% of the percentage savings from that store. View an example scenario.
Support Salem Academy based on the shopping you do every day. Link your Card to Salem Academy, shop at Fred Meyer, and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Here’s how it works:
Create a digital account.If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.
Sign in to your digital account, search for your organization here, enter the name or NPO number of the organization you wish to support, select Salem Academy from the list, and click “Save”.
NOTE: Fred Meyer donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Fred Meyer Community Rewards organizations.
Buying Groceries? Filling your car up with gas? Picking up gifts? Purchase SCRIP gift cards for your frequent retail or online shopping from Salem Academy (who receive them at a discount). Your initial purchase spends penny-for-penny what you paid for it. There is no loss of money to you whatsoever.
The result? The percentage Salem Academy saves is then split in half. 50% benefits the school as a whole and the remainder comes to you! The % saved ranges from 1.25% to 25% of the purchase total!
- Current Family? The % earned will be applied to your student’s next school year account.
- No students? You will receive a check once a year!
