A Story of Life Change and a Challenge for Our Salem Academy Families

We launched this challenge just last week, and already $50,225 has generously been given toward the match. We are incredibly grateful for this strong start and the generosity of our community.

As we invite our current families to prayerfully consider giving, we want to share a story from one of our own.

THE BLOUNT FAMILY STORY:

When Joel and his wife first enrolled their children at Salem Academy, something unexpected happened. What began as a simple evening routine, reading Bible verses together as a family, led to a profound renewal of faith in their home. They recommitted their lives to Christ and found a vibrant church community connected through the school.

“Salem Academy has been far more than a school for our family,” Joel shared. “It has been a place where faith takes root and flourishes.”

Their son, Asher, attended Salem Academy from 1st through 9th grade, building a strong foundation in biblical wisdom and personal faith. Their daughter Mia, now in 8th grade, has been part of the Salem Academy family since kindergarten.

One of the most unforgettable moments for Joel came last year when Mia was baptized alongside about 20 of her Salem Academy peers.

“Hearing her testimony, along with those of the other students, filled me with overwhelming joy,” he said. “It was a powerful celebration of God’s work in their young lives.”

This is why Joel stepped into leadership as a board member. And it’s why his family chose to invest in the AIM Campaign for the new secondary building, a space that will provide high-quality Christ-centered education for more kids like Asher and Mia.

“This new secondary building represents so much more than bricks and classrooms,” Joel said. “It’s an investment in preserving and expanding the very foundation that has transformed our family.”

Blount Family

As current Salem Academy families, you understand firsthand what makes this place special. You see it in your children’s growth, in chapel moments, in the relationships with teachers, and in the conversations at home.

Now is the time for us as a school family to come together.

Every gift, of every size, moves us closer to meeting this challenge. Whether it’s $50, $500, or a larger commitment, your participation matters. When our own community steps forward, it sends a powerful message of unity and belief in Salem Academy’s mission.

Will you prayerfully consider making a gift before the end of the school year and helping us unlock the full $500,000 match?

Together, we can invest in the next generation of young men and women who know, love, and serve Christ for a lifetime.
