2018 High School Graduation

Class of 2018

Become Love. Seek to Be Virtue. Listen to Your Mother. With this year’s graduation ceremonies, 56 High School graduates now transition to Salem Academy alumni, 33 Eighth grade students enter high school, and 43 Kindergartners move on to first grade. Congratulations to Kaytlin Wearne ’18 & Isaiah Robnett (8th Grade) on receiving this year’s Davidson, Ditchen, & Taylor scholarships. Valedictorian Hallie Baker ’18 shared that her “favorite part of Salem Academy is the community” and reminded her fellow graduates that, “SA has done everything possible to build us up to become strong young men and women of faith.” She then challenged them “to make this faith your own” and “choose righteousness.” Teacher Lucas Adams made those in attendance reflect (and laugh often!) while challenging graduates. “You are entering a world that no longer knows what words like honor, integrity, and goodness mean…I would dare to say that these words have no real profound meaning outside of the knowledge and character… Read More »
