This year-long elective, is a performing ensemble open to any Middle School student who is interested in vocal music. A variety of different styles of music will be explored throughout the year, with opportunities to perform as an ensemble in concert on and off campus. Instruction in class will also include the fundamentals of singing, basic music theory, and sightsinging. Student participation at every concert is required. The Middle School Choir is a performing ensemble that requires a great deal of commitment and desire to learn. Participation in this group will prepare the student for further opportunities in the High School Crusader Choir.

This performing ensemble is open to any High School student. A variety of different styles of music will be introduced throughout the year. Goals of this class include preparing music for festivals, competitions, and public concerts. Instruction in class will also focus on proper vocal technique, music theory and sightsinging. Student participation at every performance is required. The Crusader Choir will represent Salem Academy at district and statewide choral festivals, as well as the ACSI Northwest Choir Festival. Crusader Choir is a performing ensemble that requires a great deal of commitment and desire to learn. Many lifelong friendships are made in Crusader Choir while performing and traveling as a team. There will be other fun social events to participate in during the school year.

This early-bird ensemble (M/W/F) is a group that performs a wide variety of literature including traditional and contemporary worship, vocal jazz, and classical genres. Each member will set a time with the instructor and go through an audition process. Every student is required to be in the High School Concert Choir simultaneously. One of the goals of this class focuses on preparing music for festivals, competitions, and public concerts. Student participation at every concert is required, unless previously approved by the instructor. Participation in the local Solo & Ensemble Festival is highly encouraged as well. Outside preparation is often needed. The Chamber Choir is a group that requires a great deal of commitment and desire to learn.
