Salem Academy Christian Schools

This performing group is open to anyone that will be entering 5th Grade in September! The student will be provided an instrument to check out if needed, or be directed to a local music store to rent or own one. One of the goals of this class is to prepare the student for advancement into the Middle School Band the following year. Personal practice and student participation at every concert is required (unless previously approved by the instructor). Many activities will happen this year, so get ready for some awesome music making!

This year-long elective, is a performing ensemble open to any Middle School student with at least one year of experience in playing their instrument. Exceptions are approved by the director alone. One goal of this class focuses on preparing music for festivals, competitions, and public concerts. Student participation at every concert is required, unless previously approved by the instructor. Participation in the local Solo & Ensemble Festival is also highly encouraged and auditioning for the Salem-Keizer Honor Band as well. Outside preparation is required. The Middle School Band is a performing ensemble that requires a great deal of commitment and desire to learn.

Student participation at every concert is required, unless previously approved by the instructor. The High School Band is a performing ensemble that requires a great deal of commitment and desire to learn.

This ensemble meets during a regular class period each day (M-F). It will prepare students to encourage their peers and faculty during the chapel hour (M/W/F) through instrumental and vocal praise and worship to our great God!
